A Farewell to Evin

Dear Friends of the Studio,
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Evin Thayer.
Evin retired from his namesake photography studio earlier this year, after more than 40 years doing what he loved, while quietly fighting inoperable pancreatic cancer. After an 18 month long battle, with his partner Kenneth by his side, Evin passed away last Friday evening.
We’ve had the privilege of working with Evin over the past 16 months and are truly honored to be able to continue to uphold his legacy. As such, we are in the early stages of establishing a memorial scholarship fund in Evin’s name, to benefit students pursuing music or the arts. We will share more about this as the scholarship comes together.
In the meantime, if you have fond memories of Evin we encourage you to share them on our Facebook and Instagram .
He will certainly be missed by so many in Houston and beyond.
Warm Regards,
Allison Wilkins McPhail
